He was predeceased by: his parents, Enrico Scimia and Assunta Scimia; and his siblings, Frank Scimia (late Elisa), Mary Nappo (late Samuel), Anthony Scimia (Emelia), Anne Belotta (late John), Enrico Scimia (late Geraldine), Philomina Prezioso (late Anthony), Rosemary Calveneso (late Frank) and Pamela Scimia.

He is survived by: his wife Susie Scimia; and his children, Mary Beth Gonsior (Barry), Joseph Scimia (Laurie Schmidt), Renee Loewer (William), Poppy of Elizabeth, Katherine, Alexander and Nicholas. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
