Ruth M. Schunke Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth M. Schunke of Cheektowaga, New York, who passed away on June 30, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John L. Schunke, Jr.; her daughter Cynthia Klinger; and her parents, Frank Kirisitz and Elizabeth Kirisitz. She is survived by: her children, John L. Schunke, III (Shirla), Dawn Dugan (Neil), Yvonne Hoos (Thomas Veil), Michael Schunke (Rosanna), Ruth Crowe (Robert), Kathryn Knapp (late Joseph) and Edward Schunke (Crystal); and her sister Mildred Clancey (late Richard). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

If desired, contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to the Brothers of Mercy Foundation.
