He was predeceased by : his father Donald Ward; his brother Donald Ward; his grandparents, Marguerite, William Duff, Newell and Florence Ward; and his uncle Larry Ward.

He is survived by : his mother Patricia Duff Ward; his wife Allison Slater Ward of Chemung; his children, Zachary Ward of Elmira, Christina Ward (Daniel Worden) of Owego and Erin Ward of Waverly; his stepchildren, Tyler Schutt (Nikki) of Waverly and Mackenzie Schutt of Chemung; his brothers, Daniel Ward (Kimberly) of Pine City and Matthew Ward of Pine City; his grandchildren, Aria Rose Ward and Nora Rose Worden; and his stepgranddaughter Delaney Schutt. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial donations may be made in Mark's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Shriners Hospital.
