He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Closson and Edna Sergeant Closson; his wife Wilma Stith Closson; and his sisters, Joyce Closson and Janice Hoellerer.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Closson (Jacque) of Cincinnatus, Shelby Mudge (Steven) of Cincinnatus, Luann King (Kevin) of Cincinnatus, Debra Root (Terry) of Taylor and Janet Hufford (Dean) of Chesapeake City, MD.; and his siblings, Norma Rathbone of Cincinnatus, Brenda Baiguini of Preble, Barbara Hoellerer of Skaneateles and Louis Closson (Barbara) of Blodgett Mills. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Following his retirement from the union, LeRoy served as the Town of Taylor Highway Superintendent for 16 years, where he made significant contributions to the infrastructure and welfare of his community.
