We announce the death of Wendell L. Peaslee of Cincinnatus, New York, who passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 96. Wendell will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Wendell will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Wendell will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Wendell’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Peaslee and Hazel Thompson Peaslee; his daughter Kelly; his son-in-law Terry DuBois; and his sister Murial Degear.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Cornelius Peaslee; and his daughters, Lorelei Rice (James) of Cincinnatus and Claudia Natale (Joseph) of Cortland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
