He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin J. Scherer and Gerd Scherer; and his brother Michael Scherer. He is survived by: his wife Angela Mary Scherer; his daughters, Jessica M. Scherer Viola (Victor) and Erica A. Scherer (Curtis Parker); his grandchildren, Alexandra Scherer Viola, Simone Scherer Viola and Nina Denise Parker; and his sister Susan Stephenson (Robert). He is also survived by sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
