He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Mirella Meehan; his children, Dan Meehan (Kathryn), Adam Meehan and Kate Meehan; his grandchildren, Christian, Alex, Nathan and Juniper; his parents, Albert Meehan and Frances Meehan; and his siblings, John Meehan (Lisa), Joe Meehan, Margo Salnek (Brian), Mike Meehan (late Kelly) and Mary-Lynne Wren. He was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.
Because of Gerry's passion for helping retired players of his generation, in lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry's honor will support the Hockey's Greatest Family Fund, which assists former players and their families, providing counseling services and medical and mental health support.
