He was predeceased by: his wife Maria DeSimone; his parents, Giovanni DeSimone and Giovanna DeSimone; and his siblings, Lena Boniccio (late Joseph), Joseph DeSimone (late Antoinette) and Angelo DeSimone (Mary Rose).

He is survived by: his children, Joanne DePeters and Philip DeSimone Jr. (Cynthia); his grandchildren, Jeremy DePeters (Nivia), Alan DePeters (Ann Marie), Maria Roberts (Sean), Philip Joseph DeSimone, Nicole Doughtery (Blake) and Nicholas DeSimone (Alexa Wolfe); and his great grandchildren, Ava, Addison, Vivianne, Owen, Liam and Sophia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
