We announce the death of Donald Maurice Chapman of Clay, New York, who passed away on October 16, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Elizabeth Gillespie and Maurice Guy Chapman; his siblings, David Chapman, Robert Chapman (Skip), Cocker Spaniel and Sandy; and his pets, Charlie Brown, Smokey and Doc.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Marie Chapman (Boyd); his children, Sheila Marie Mirizio and Donald "Donnie" Maurice Chapman; his grandson Cole James Mirizio; his stepgrandsons, Nathan Daniel Mirizio and Gabriel Lewis Mirizio; and his siblings, Richard "Dick" Chapman (Sandy), Betty Caloia (Chapman) and Rita Bigsby (Chapman). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home (3401 Vickery Rd, Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
