He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Hotaling, Sr. and Ethel Hotaling (Kiebert); his former wife Jean L. Hotaling; his daughter Robyn L. Bloss; and his brother Ken Hotaling.
He is survived by: his wife Carol D. Hotaling; his son Michael Hotaling (Gigi Hotaling); his son-in-law Ed Bloss; his stepdaughters, Catherine Frisiello and Barbara Lamb (Reggie Lamb); his grandchildren, Katie (Bloss), Sarah Bloss, Alecsandra Hotaling and Christian Hotaling; his stepgrandchildren, James Vennette, Ryan Vennette and Christopher Frisiello; his great grandchildren, Haylee Caputo, Morgan Caputo, Brooklyn Caputo, Damian Bloss, Dylan Bloss and Brailynn Bloss; and his stepgreat-grandchild Reilly Vennette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home (3401 Vickery Rd, Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
