With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard E. Hummel Sr. of Clay, New York, born in Stuyvesant, New York, who passed away on August 17, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard E. Hummel Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hummel and Evelyn Hummel; and his brother Kenneth Hummel. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen "Kathy" Guerin; his children, Richard E. Hummel, Jr. (Kristin) of Rochester, Matthew Hummel (Sharon) of Williamsburg, VA and Courtney Hummel of Clinton, MA; and his grandchildren, Rhia, Casey, Caleb, Emmalyn, Liam and Noah. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church (435 S Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
