Edward J. Prior Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward J. Prior of Clayville, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 5, 2026 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlton Avery Prior and Mary Prior (Brewer); his sisters, Carol Prior Spalding and Jill A. Prior; and his brothers-in-law, Gene Spalding and Frank Madey.

He is survived by: his friend Emerson Brown; his sisters, Deborah Prior Madey and Cathy Burke (Barrett); his nieces and nephews, Jessica Madey (Chris "Crowley" Madden), Matthew Madey (Kayla Magness), Travis Goud, Allison and Erica Burke; and his great-niece Laurel Madey.

Donations in Ed's memory can be made out to the American Red Cross or the Cassville Baptist Church.
