He was predeceased by: his parents, Einar Strand and Louise Strand (Steecher); his daughter Sherri Grant (Patrick); and his brother James Strand. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Strand (Simmons); his daughter Terri Cook; and his sister Lois Hejl (Al). He is also survived by grandchildren, four adored greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home (1550 US-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065). A procession will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871). The military honors will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home (1550 US-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065).
