He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth J. Messier and Marguerite Downey Messier. He is survived by : his wife Ann D. Federico Messier; his children, Kenneth S. Messier, Stephen M. Messier (Amy) and Shawn C. Messier (Valerie); his brother George Messier; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Erica, Julia and Leah Messier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
