He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Briggs and Audra Briggs; his wife Doris Bannatyne; his daughter Denise LeClair; his stepdaughter Della Cooper (Jerry); his grandson Zachary Briggs; and his brothers, Calvin and Glen Briggs.
He is survived by: his son Dennis Briggs (Terri) of Newark; his stepchildren, Deanne Giljam (Ken) of Tennessee, James Bannatyne of Port Gibson, Dorothy Baker (Richard) of Lyons and Deborah George (Karl) of Clyde; his son-in-law Gary LeClair of Marion; and his siblings, Robert Briggs (Sally) and Marge Tellier (Walt). He is also survived by many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
