She was predeceased by: her father Robert Anthony Bankert; and her brothers, Robert A. Bankert, Jr., Peter Bankert and Nicholas Bankert. She is survived by: her mother Marguerite Maloy Bankert; her husband Ed; her children, Gertrude "Trudy" Kernan Cox (Christopher Lawrence Cox) of Denver, CO and Edward "Ed" Wagner Kernan, Jr. (Amy Leigh West); her grandchildren, Hadyn, Caelen, Riley Cox, Henry, William and Patrick Kernan; and her siblings, Joan Kernan (David), Andrew Bankert (Gayle), Carol Carpentier, Richard Bankert (Liz), John Bankert (Ellen) and Thomas Bankert. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services (13 Oxford Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (66 Oxford Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413). A burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Agnes Cemetery (601 Arthur St, Utica, NY 13501).
