Though Joan has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Jennifer Eaton Kilway (Ron) of Cleveland and Renee Eaton Lloyd (Jeffery) of Boston, Massachusetts.; her grandchildren, Najia Lloyd, Declan Lloyd, Rory Kilway and Amelia Kilway; her sister-in-law Marie Romanus; her parents, Ellen Romanus and Raymond Romanus; and her husband Edward Freeman. She was also cherished by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Annunciation (7616 E South St, Clinton, NY 13323).
