Alice Van Buren Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alice Van Buren (Cobleskill, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 4, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Hotaling and Dorothy Shafer Hotaling; her husband Robert E. Van Buren; her son Richard Van Buren; and her sister Joyce E. Miller.

She is survived by: her son Robert Van Buren (Joan) of Cobleskill, NY; her daughter-in-law Marie Gross Van Buren; her grandchildren, Richard Van Buren (Hannah), Alexa Van Buren and Michelle Mau; her great grandchildren, Cecillia Mara and Declan Van Buren; and her sisters, Norma Ullman and Audrey France (Doug).

Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home (171 Elm St, Cobleskill, NY 12043). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
