It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara J. Janakis of Cobleskill, New York, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on August 28, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Malcolm Haggerty and Gean Haggerty (Szkotnicki); her husband John Janakis; her son John E. Janakis; and her brother Richard Haggerty.

She is survived by : her son Darren Janakis (Becky); her daughter-in-law Valarie Janakis; her siblings, Marilyn Emanuele (Joseph) and Gary Haggerty (Penny); her sisters-in-law, Mary Haggerty and Agnes Stage; her grandchildren, John, Alexandrea, Allison, Kathleen, William, Alex and Madison; her stepgrandsons, Joshua, Elliott and Jacob; and her niece Marlo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
