Gary David Ovitt Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Gary David Ovitt of Cobleskill, New York. Gary, born on October 11, 1940, passed away on September 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ovitt and Avis Ovitt (Wanderlick); his daughter Denise Cuccolo; and his brothers, Bruce Ovitt and Brian Ovitt.

He is survived by: his wife Lisa Mulligan; his children, David (Jill), Danelle and Michael (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Larissa Ovitt, Alexander Dingman, Christopher Cuccolo and Oliva Cuccolo; and his siblings, Carl Ovitt, Gloria Hughes and Cynthia Sparks. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home (171 Elm St, Cobleskill, NY 12043). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
