As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Leah may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Blake Smith and Alice Smith (Matthews); her son Blake Brodeur; and her brother David Smith. She is survived by: her husband John A. Carlson; and her sons, Mark Brodeur (Karen) and Scott Brodeur (Jackie). She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and her 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home (171 Elm St, Cobleskill, NY 12043). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
