It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel J. Gaida Jr. (Cobleskill, New York), who passed away on May 19, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel J. Gaida, Sr. and Margaret Roberts Gaida; his brothers, George Gaida and Joseph Patrick Gaida; and his sister-in-law Terrie Gaida.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Gaida of Summit, NY; his sons, Jason Gaida (Michelle) of Carlisle, NY and Joshua Gaida (Sarah) of Jefferson, NY; his grandchildren, Katelynn Gaida, Ryan Gaida, Addison Gaida and Adella Gaida; his pets, Daisy, Tigger and Sockies; and his siblings, Priscilla Gaida (Mark), Noreen Fancher (Arnie) of Howes Cave, NY and James Gaida of Summit, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
