With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Delainey Lyn Knights of Cohocton, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Delainey left this world on September 7, 2025 at the age of 15, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She is survived by: her parents, Melissa Coffey and John Knights Sr.; her siblings, John "JJ" Knights Jr., Mackenzie Ryan, TJ Ryan and Brayden Ryan; and her grandparents, Michelle Lang, Mike Klien, Christopher Lang, Marie Knights and John Stauffer. She is also survived by many cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dansville Foursquare Church (49 West Ave, Dansville, NY 14437). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In honor of her generous spirit, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, acts of kindness be shared in her memory — check in on someone, make them laugh, or just be there the way Delainey always was.
