It is with sadness that the passing of Peter Leoniak (Cohoes, New York) is shared. Peter, born on January 26, 1981, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Peter will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Peter by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Peter is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Peter’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his fiancée Heather St. Pierre. He is survived by: his parents, Eugene Leoniak, Sr. and Janina Leoniak (Barlik); his brothers, Eugene Leoniak (Cassandra) of Halfmoon and Robert Leoniak of Cohoes; his niece Annaliese Leoniak; and his nephew Westin Leoniak of Halfmoon.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home (105 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes, NY 12047). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM and at 10:30 AM.
