He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shatley and Lillian Shatley (Campbell); his wives, Elisabeth Shatley (Herzog) and Barbara Shatley (Messmore); and his sisters, Ruth Scott, Lorraine Rockstroh and Dorothy Zeo.
He is survived by: his children, Lorraine E. Westervelt (Gary), Gerald F. Shatley (Vickie) and Kevin L Shatley (Carol); his siblings, Henry Shatley (Sandy), Charlotte Shatley and Catherine "Katie" Canter; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, Julie, Brian, Matt, Mark, Drew, Jordan and Monica; his great grandchildren, Daisy, Melody and Jackson; and his close friend Mary Coblish. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
