He was predeceased by: his parents, Rene Duval and Hazel Duval; his daughter Renee Lebuis; and his brothers, Rene', Milton and Wayne Duval.
He is survived by: his wife Sara J. Duval; his children, Catherine Duval (Michael Nelson) and James "Darren" Duval (Toni); and his grandchildren, Ed, Matthew Czajkowski, James D. Duval Jr., Cheryl Lynn Long (Duval), Derek, Alyssa Ragone, Kaylee and Emily LeBuis. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul the Apostle Church (2777 Albany St, Schenectady, NY 12304).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Church or to a charity of your choice.
