He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Gardy and Frances Gardy (Yanni); and his brothers, Samuel Gardy, Robert Gardy and Arthur Gardy.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Gardy (Eames); his children, Jill Birdsall (Gardy), Edward Gardy (Michelle Gardy) and Joelle (Gardy); his grandchildren, Jaimie (Birdsall), Pulver (Bill Pulver), Eric Birdsall (Nicole Gleichmann), Jennifer Oot (Brandon Oot), Tricia Gardy, Macie Trimarchi, Cameron Trimarchi and Ella Trimarchi; his great grandchildren, Sadie Pulver, Riley Birdsall and Evelyn Oot; his siblings, Jane Barcomb, Pat Porcaro and William Gardy; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Gardy and Marilyn Gardy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
