He is survived by : his wife Ruth Carey "Forever Together"; his children, Bill Carey, Cheryl Ruede (Michael), Robyn Freese (Dennis) and Michael Carey (Barbara Huntsberry); and his grandchildren, Lance Carey, Jodi, Nicole, Scott Endres, Kristy Goergen, Brendan, Matthew Carey, Courtney, Casey and Michael Ruede.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205, or the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY, 965 Albany Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110 in memory of William A. Carey.
