It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Renace A. Ames (Colton, New York), who passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne P. Ames; her sisters, Dona Regan and Sharon Phillips; and her parents, Gerald LaPoint and Theresa Pearl LaPoint.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel P. Ames (Donna McGinnis) and Denise Folsom (Cory Perrault); her grandchildren, Mallory (Keegan "Buck" Kwetcian), Jacob (Emma Folsom) and Austin (Cassidy Ames); and her brother William (Doris LaPoint). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Buck Funeral Home (62 Riverside Dr, Colton, NY 13625). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
