In loving memory of Susette Scovil of Colton, New York, born in Potsdam, New York, who departed this world on June 5, 2025 at the age of 68. Susette leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her stepfather Paul Layaw; and her sister Judy Mills (Judson). She is survived by: her husband Floyd Scovil; her children, Chad Scovil (Kellie) of Dalton, MA, Stacey Graves (Dustin), Potsdam and Jay Scovil (Nicole); her grandsons, Jacoby, Trevor and Aiden Graves; and her siblings, Ernest Sweet, Gary Sweet (Tammy), Sherry Sweet, Timothy Sweet (Cheryl), Jeffrey Sweet (Tina), Jeanette Sweet and Jonathan Layaw (Jennifer). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buck Funeral Home (62 Riverside Dr, Colton, NY 13625). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley or the Richard E. Winter Cancer Center.
