He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Luther; his parents, Leslie Luther and Cecilia Luther; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Tiede and Jennifer Luther.

He is survived by: his sons, David Luther (Lisa) and Mike Luther (Kathleen); his grandsons, Josh Luther (Courtney), Michael Luther and Justin Luther (Jenna Kranselar); his great grandchildren, Slate and Clay; and his siblings, Dorothy Tiede, Steve Luther (Rose), Leo Luther and Patrick Luther (Julie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
