He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Helen Cifuni; his parents, Fred Cifuni and Virginia Cifuni; his sister Barbara; his children, Justin, Chris and Angela; his grandsons, Dylan, Johnny and Dominic; and his children-in-law, Domenick, Danielle and Angela. He was also cherished by sisters and their spouses, in addition to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Matt was also a proud member of the Elks Club and the Knights of Columbus, organizations that reflected his values of faith, charity, and service to others.
