He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis J. "Joe" Smith (J. Smith Trucking) and Mary Wynne Smith; his daughter Kimberly; his sister Shirley; and his brothers-in-law, Bruce Remillard and David Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lastowski; his son Jason; his siblings, Sharon Kelly of Troy, NY, Susan Billhardt (Brad) and Randy Smith; his grandchildren, Connor Ernst and Grace Smith; his mother-in-law Vera Lastowski; and his brothers, Thomas (Jackie Lastowski) and Ray (Mary Pfendler). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
