He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas DeSantis and Geraldine DeSantis; and his sister Mary Lou Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his brother Thomas DeSantis (Suzanne); his children, Christopher DeSantis and Carrie Hines (John Derby II); and his granddaughter Alexandra Hines (Lukas Evans). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
