“To Denise, your brother and family, I was so sorry and saddened when you told me of Elvira's passing. She was a dynamo. It was MY privilege, honor and good fortune to have had her as a patient. She taught me things and I will never forget her. I think of her often and can see and hear her advise to me in my minds eye about the many things we discussed be it diet, Judaism or the topics related to courses and lectures she would attend.
