It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Cecilia Castrillon of Copiague, New York, who passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parent Carmen Moreno; and her children, Jorge, Claudia, Luis Alberto and Celina (Alberto) of Jesús.

She is survived by : her sibling Hipólito Moreno; her children, Beatriz, John Jairo, Ramiro, Patricia, Miriam, Mauricio, Carolina and Leonardo; her grandchildren, Alexandra, Lilian, Katherine, Johnny, Tatiana, Michael, Carolina Anne, Luis Eduardo, Xenia, Julián David, Jorge Alberto, Steph, Andrea Cecilia, Zaianna, Maximiliano, Paola Andrea, Priscilla, Christine, Karina, Erika, Danielito, Leonardo Ariel and Julián Alejandro; and her great grandchildren, Valentina, Lazaro, Aria, Isaiah, Amaya, Xavier, Vivianna, Sofia, Jorge Daniel, Emmanuel, Lorenzo, Jaxon, Emily, Isabella, Noah, Penelope, Nina Cataleya, Selena Rose, C. C. and Max. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other close family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of María Cecilia Castrillón to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
