She was predeceased by: her husband Alan Lax; her parents, George Brown and Kathleen Brown; and her brother-in-law Neal Granata. She is survived by: her sister Kathy Granata; her siblings-in-law, George, Lauren Granata, Bryan and Kimberly Granata; and her nieces, Nicole, Alyssa, Christina, Julianna and Leah.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Michael J. Grant & Thomas A. Marinello Funeral Home (493 Middle Country Rd, Coram, NY 11727). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Infant Jesus Chapel - St. Charles Hospital (200 Belle Terre Rd, Port Jefferson, NY 11777).
