It is with sadness that the passing of Robert Alan Goras (Corfu, New York) is shared. Robert, born on May 19, 1952, passed away on September 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Andrew Goras and Esther Fry Goras Macomber; and his brother Adam "John" Goras (Marge) of Texas. He is survived by: his wife Anita L. Wyder Goras; his daughters, Tina "Gooch" Dieter (Brett) of Elliottsburg, Lorrinda "Beep" Kraft (Edmund IV) of Oakfield, Alissa "Mimi" Towne (Eric) of Grantville and Kaitlin "Bunk" Wattles of Basom; his grandchildren, Jadeyn, Connor, Olivia, Bailey, Lylah, Ethan, Elijah, William, Colt and Eddie V; and his siblings, Evelyn Goras of Texas, Andrew Goras, Sr. (Dorothy), Mildred Schiller of Jacksonville, Fla., Shirley Wyder (Vance, Sr.) of Basom, Joyce Macomber of Batavia and Eileen Macomber of Batavia. He is also survived by his wife, daughters, son in laws, grandchildren, many, many friends, pet.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and at 4:00 PM at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home (11 Maple Ave, Oakfield, NY 14125). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Western New York National Cemetery (1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, NY 14036).
