He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Byrt and Eileen Byrt (Cunningham). He is survived by: his wife Robin; his child Dr. Erin Byrt (Tyler McPherson); his granddaughters, Althea and Leona; his children, Dr. Conor Byrt and Devon Byrt; and his siblings, Frank Byrt, Eileen Leavitt (Ken) and Maureen Porter (Steven). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home (628 N Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
