She was predeceased by : her parents, Anna Loop and Omer Loop; her husband Elbert "Red" Backer; and her siblings, Margie McCarthy, Ann Martin and Mortie Loop.
She is survived by : her daughters, Rosanne Darcangelo (Charlie), Nancy White (Jim), Debbie Reed (Joe) and Pam Mayo; her grandchildren, Cryssi, Joey, Michelle, Mikey, Katie, Matt, Mike and Brian; her great grandchildren, Jessie, Kaileigh, Karrigan, Max, Adam, Emerson, Grady, Graeme and Layne; her niece Lori; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Bri and Tyler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Corning, Meals on Wheels, or a charity of one's choice.
