He was predeceased by: his parents, Elberton R. Katt and Helen L. Katt (Streit); and his brothers, Ronald Katt and John Katt (Elaine). He is survived by: his wife Lois Katt of Corning; his daughters, Kimberly Merlo (Michael) of Naples and Kristen Bennitt (Richard) of Corning; his grandchildren, Sarah Winger (Matthew), Hannah Merlo, Nicholas Bennitt, Alex Bennitt (Samantha) and Kaley Bennitt; his great grandchildren, Miller James Bennitt and Margaret Lois Winger; and his brother-in-law Wayne Robertson (Margaret) of Pearl River. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jim's name may be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 171 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY 14830.
