She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin Townsend and Edna Townsend; and her husband Carl Costa. She is survived by: her children, Michael Costa, Patricia Shoemaker (Dan) and Cheryl Costa (Linda); her grandchildren, Matthew Shoemaker and Jennifer Bastian (Kurt); and her great grandchildren, Carter, Sophia and Evan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, in her memory.
