We bid farewell to John Edward Benson in Corning, New York, born in Jamestown, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 2, 2024 at the age of 89. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by : his parents, Florence Benson (Congdon) and Ed Benson. He is survived by : his close friend Sandy Wallace; his children, Joe Benson (Kim), Kathy Richardson (Carl), Margaret Foo (Elliot), Dan Benson (Katy) and Tom Benson (Susan); his stepdaughter Jamie Rackl (Chris); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Sarah Benson, Emily, Nicole Foo, Annie, Mike, Matt Benson, Megan, Benson Richardson, Nick and Marie Benson; his brother David; and his pets, Patrick, Sam and Pete.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (17 W Pulteney St, Corning, NY 14830). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 3:00 PM and at 5:00 PM at the same location.
