Joyce B. Merletti Obituary
We announce the death of Joyce B. Merletti of Corning, New York, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 93. Joyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Strassberg (William M. Bedell) and John Kuehnle; her husband Carlo Merletti; her brother William M. Bedell Jr.; and her half-sister Winifred Bedell Carman.
She is survived by: her children, John Kuehnle (Jamal), Susan Harris (Michal), Mark Bedell Kuehnle and Mary Leonard (Jerry); her stepchildren, Katherine Licata (Matthew), Mark Merletti and Robert Merletti; her grandchildren, Nazih Kuehnle (Jennifer), Manon Kuehnle West (Austin), Sarah Williams (Justin), Malinda Miller (Corey) and Matthew Licata (Jamee); and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Jason Williams, Piper Miller and Theodore Miller. She is also survived by numerous nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Orthodox Church (61 Canada Rd, Painted Post, NY 14870). A prayer will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
Over the years, Joyce volunteered with numerous organizations, including The Rockwell Museum, The Clemens Center, Corning Food Pantry, CareFirst, Alzheimer's Helpers, and her parish church, St. Mary's Orthodox.
