With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lyle LeGrande Luce (Corning, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin G. Luce and Roberta Burgett; his stepfather Clarence Sherwood; and his brothers, Rick Luce and Michael Sherwood.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gage of Painted Post, NY; his daughter Amanda Hedman (Chris) of North Carolina; his siblings, Randolph Sherwood of Brockport, NY, Ed, Jr. Luce (Nancy) of Arizona, Mark Luce (Arnett) of Florida, Greg Luce, Debbie Spatula of Brockport, NY, Gail Ryerson of Texas and Amy Burr (Bill) of Texas; his siblings-in-law, Pat Breon, Phyllis McDonald (Gerald), Roberta Gage and Larry Gage; and his pet Mia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The military honors was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bath National Cemetery.
