She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Serdula and Helen Serdula; her husband Bill of Mary's Church; her close friend Sam Cuda; her siblings, John Serdula (Helen), George Serdula (Sophie), Mary Demyan (George), Anne Sokira (John), Catherine Demyan (Michael G.), Susan, Helen Serdula and Celia Smith (Bernard J.); and her nieces and nephews, George, Jr. Demyan (Kathryn), Stephen, Tom Serdula, Joseph Michael Smith, Patrick McCarthy, III, Stan Lewek, Mary Ann Demyan, Dolores Beecher and Phyllis Demyan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Duffey of Revere, Mass., Diane Duffey (Bill DeWitz) of Laguna Woods and Calif; her nieces and nephews, Joan Shaw (Allen) of Suffolk, Dorothy Demyan of Winter Haven, Richard Demyan, Suzanne Demyan, Stella King, Shirley Serdula, Carole Herrlich, Nancy Lewek, Maureen Foster, David Smith (Vicky), Terry Smith, Kristine Sullivan (Mickey), Bernard J. Smith, Jr. (Jamie), SueEllen Smith of Corning, Beatrice Smith of Ft. Gratiot, MI, Sylvia Serdula of Matthews, N. C., Alice Abawi (George), Michael McCarthy (Pam), Patricia Buchinger and Gerald Burke; and her friends, Mark and Debbie Cuda.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carpenter's Funeral Home (14 E Pulteney St, Corning, NY 14830). A prayer was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the same location.
