The family announces the passing of Mary (Vine) McCarey of Corning, New York on June 17, 2026. Mary, born on March 5, 1950, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Vine and Jeanne Vine; her husband James McCarey; and her brother Jerry Vine. She is survived by: her children, Jeremy McCarey (Morgan) and Bethany McCarey-Hammond (Eric); her grandchildren, Taigan, Brendan, Evan, Mason and Jovie; and her sisters, Connie Oakden and Linda Ives. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church (33 E 1st St, Corning, NY 14830).
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Mary's memory are invited to make a donation in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
