He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruth Cook and Claude Cook; his wife JoEllen; his son Michael McNaney; and his siblings, Leona, Evelyn, Jane, Ernest, Durwood and Thurman.

He is survived by : his children, Paula Smith (Mike), Mitchell Cook (Ellana), Matthew Cook and Mark McNaney; his sister Eldora Gould (Ralph); and his grandchildren, Gretchen Lehman (Matthew), Tanner Smith, Dalton Cook, Mason Cook, Jake McNaney and Logan McNaney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A reception will be held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Crystal City VFW Post 524 (281 Baker St, Corning, NY 14830).
