William D. Benson Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 26, 2025, at the age of 89, William D. Benson Sr. of Corning, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William D. Benson Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara J. Benson; and his parents, Flloyd Benson and Idella Benson. He is survived by: his children, Cheryle A. Burdick of Elmira, William Benson Jr. (Ginger) of Florence, SC and Deborah J. Sutton of McDonough, GA.; and his grandchildren, Stacy Lynn Muscarella (Vincent) of Moore Park, CA, Sandra Burdick, Tracy Carl of Elmira Heights, Shane Burdick of Elmira, Lynn Scott Benson, Jessica Bellew (Jeremy) of Ohio, Christopher Benson (Ikumi), U. S. Navy, Troy Benson, Amanda Garner, Louis Sutton (Lauren), David Sutton (Sabrina) and Elaine Lowe (Nolan). He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Thurston Christian Church (7511 County Rte 333, Campbell, NY 14821). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Thurston Christian Church Outreach Program or to the American Red Cross, both of which were dear to Bill's heart.
