With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carl Savino of Cortland, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 1, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carl Savino to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Savino and Josephine Savino (Rongo); his former wife Mary Lou Tucci; and his siblings, Frank, Joseph, Donald, Anthony and Philomena.
He is survived by: his wife Olga Gerych Keefe; his children, Carl (Susan), David (Caroline) and Luanne O'Loughlin (late Thomas); his grandchildren, Andrew Savino, Carolyn Dahl (Joshua), Kathryn Conners (Jacob), Laura DiGioia (Matthew) and Amanda Bostic (Kyle); and his great grandchildren, Thomas Jacob Conners and Blake Mae Bostic.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. (9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland, NY 13045). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (50 Pomeroy St, Cortland, NY 13045).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Anthony's Church in Cortland, N.Y. or the Elizabeth Brewster House in Homer, N.Y.
